Google's first Pixel Tag uses the Find Hub network to locate keys, bags, and other objects. It supports Bluetooth plus Ultra-Wideband precision finding, carries an IP67 rating, and uses a user-replaceable battery rated for up to one year. A tag can be shared with as many as ten people.

When the tag is outside Bluetooth range, Google says Find Hub can draw on more than one billion Android devices while keeping location information end-to-end encrypted. Android also alerts a user when an unknown tag appears to be traveling with them. Pixel Watch and Gemini on Pixel Buds can ring a tag.

The important boundary is abuse resistance, not the AI branding. A crowd network becomes useful at the same scale that it becomes sensitive. Unknown-tag alerts, encrypted location data, explicit sharing, and revocation are therefore core product functions rather than optional privacy settings.
