About New Runtime

Mission: find the next shift before it is obvious

Generative AI is changing how software is built, how work is organized, how interfaces appear and disappear, and how machines read the web. Most of that change arrives as noise: hundreds of announcements, release notes, and demos a week. New Runtime exists to notice the small number of observations that point at a durable shift, and to say so early, with evidence, while the claim is still cheap to revise.

The bet is simple. A trend is not an announcement. A trend is several independent observations that keep pointing the same way after the launch news has passed. New Runtime records those observations one at a time, compares each new one against everything already on file, and promotes a cluster to a named pattern only when it can carry sources, counter-evidence, and explicit conditions under which the pattern should be revised or retired.

How a trend earns its place

Raw Signals preserve what was observed, when, and where it came from. Patterns group several signals into a revisable trend hypothesis with revision triggers. Field Notes turn selected evidence into readable analysis. Shifts name the larger transitions those patterns add up to, such as manual prompting giving way to goal-scoped agent loops or borrowed human credentials giving way to delegated agent identity. Capability Deltas, Projects, and Systems show the change in working software rather than in slides.

Discovery runs continuously: an automated newsroom pipeline collects, deduplicates, and analyzes sources around the clock, then compares each item with the existing knowledge base to surface story clusters, trends, and contradictions. Publication stays under editorial control. Being early is worth more than being confident, so every pattern is expected to change, and interpretations that stop matching the evidence move to the Interface Graveyard instead of quietly disappearing.

What New Runtime is and is not

The public site is a curated editorial atlas, not a general-purpose SaaS product, a news aggregator, or a tools directory. Every record keeps parallel HTML, Markdown, and JSON representations so that a person and a research agent read the same evidence. Reading the site and its public machine routes requires no account, subscription, API key, or payment.

As of the review date above, the public atlas holds the records below. Live counts are always available in the JSON indexes, which change with every publication.

Evidence and editorial boundary

New Runtime analysis is not a substitute for the original evidence. Public records point to official documentation, research, repositories, creator-owned material, or accountable independent reporting. Private newsletters, discovery feeds, inbox rules, watchlists, drafts, and operational handoffs are not public sources and are not disclosed through this site.

All public agent routes are read-only. External systems cannot create, edit, approve, publish, deploy, or delete New Runtime content.
