In one minute

TypeSafe AI announced a $870 million Series A at a $7.5 billion valuation on October 9, 2026.

What changed: TypeSafe announced a $870 million Series A at a $7.5 billion valuation, led by Andreessen Horowitz, and said a third of Fortune 500 companies use Jev and customers have saved millions.

Andreessen Horowitz led the round, with participation from Sequoia Capital, existing investor DCVC, and unnamed angel investors. Martin Casado is joining TypeSafe AI's board.

The company says it will use the funding to expand Jev and its infrastructure for building smart software, including more machine-native models and enterprise features. TypeSafe AI also states that roughly one third of Fortune 500 companies are using Jev and that customers have saved millions of dollars in production.

The announcement does not name those customers, provide usage, revenue, or retention figures, or explain how the claimed savings were calculated. It also does not specify a product release schedule, pricing changes, or the terms attached to the enterprise features it plans to add.
