OpenAI frontier models are being added across Rovo and the broader Atlassian platform, and teams can connect ChatGPT and Codex to Atlassian enterprise context through the Atlassian plugin and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
The company describes its Teamwork Graph as a permission-aware layer containing project, decision, and execution context. Its examples include querying live roadmaps from ChatGPT, turning Confluence briefs into launch material, and using Codex from a terminal to inspect work items and Bitbucket repositories. Atlassian says more than 3,000 of its developers use Codex through ChatGPT Enterprise across terminals, IDEs, and code-review workflows.
Atlassian lists OpenAI models in Rovo, ChatGPT and Codex connections through Atlassian MCP, and DX visibility into developer impact as available now. It says deeper agent integrations to pick up work items, run tests, synchronize local session history to team boards, and support multi-agent orchestration with human checkpoints are still being designed.
