Augment added Grok 4.6 to Cosmos, its orchestration platform for coding agents, less than one month after making Grok 4.5 available. The company presents the model together with Augment's Context Engine for work that spans large repositories.
This is a narrow integration update. It does not establish that Grok 4.6 performs better in Cosmos, and Augment did not attach a comparative benchmark to the announcement. What changed is the set of executors available behind an existing orchestration and context layer.
That distinction is useful for buyers. Model access becomes replaceable when repository retrieval, task state, policies, and review remain in the surrounding platform. The right follow-up is a same-harness evaluation against the previous route, including success rate, edit quality, latency, and cost—not a conclusion based on availability alone.
