Voice AI vendors now sell complete agent platforms, not just speech models

In one minute

Cartesia launched Managed Agents, which bundles its speech models with a language model of the customer's choice, telephony and tool integrations. Deepgram is buying Daily and will build its new voice products on Daily's open-source Pipecat framework, and it has also launched a Real-Time Context Standard.

Phonic-1 calls tools while the caller is still talking. When choosing a voice provider, builders are now also choosing its orchestration layer and protocol.
