NVIDIA Confidential Computing Expands, Enabling Frontier Model Builders to Securely Scale Across Global Infrastructure

In one minute

NVIDIA announced Confidential Bare Metal, a deployment option intended to let frontier model builders run sensitive workloads on dedicated third-party infrastructure while retaining control of models and data.

What changed: NVIDIA adds Confidential Bare Metal and platform security controls, expands coverage to Grace Blackwell and Rubin systems, and plans DSX OS integration; the prior reported only limited early access to Confidential Computing in Cohere Model Vault.

The company says new controls protect data in transit, measure platform integrity and enforce hardware-level access restrictions.

The announcement places Bare Metal alongside Confidential Containers for Kubernetes and Confidential Virtual Machines for virtualized environments. NVIDIA says confidential-computing support is expanding to Grace Blackwell NVL72 and Rubin systems, and will integrate with NVIDIA DSX OS. Google Cloud says it is extending support to A4X Max instances powered by GB300 NVL72; Cohere plans to integrate the option into Model Vault.

NVIDIA describes hardware-rooted isolation and cryptographic attestation as mechanisms for protecting models and data during execution. The source documents the vendor’s product and partner announcements; it does not independently establish the security properties, operational availability, or performance of these deployments.
