Google begins rolling out custom MCP support in Gemini Spark
Google says it is rolling out support for custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections in Gemini Spark, allowing users to connect apps directly and tailor the assistant. The company’s June 30 update also describes a macOS beta for Google AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 and over in the US, plus integrations with Google Tasks, Keep, Canva, Dropbox, Instacart, OpenTable and Zillow Rentals.
Google says the named app integrations are rolling out on web and mobile over the next week and to macOS in coming weeks. The source does not specify a schedule or platform scope for custom MCP support. It does not confirm claims about Gemini 4, Computer Use or Superprojects.
