EAGLE-4 uses a lightweight drafter and a target-model verification tree; its serving harness calibrates verification costs on the target GPU and adapts tree width and depth to estimated gain versus latency. The post reports relative acceptance-length gains for tree over chain of 9.6% on the Fireworks evaluation set and 12.4% on fal's text-only subset. Experiments were run on NVIDIA B300 GPUs with tensor parallelism set to four. These are reported benchmark results, not evidence of a general end-to-end latency improvement across models, hardware or production workloads.
fal and Fireworks published a technical analysis of EAGLE-4 alongside Prompt Enhancement SpecBench
In one minute
fal and Fireworks published a technical analysis of EAGLE-4 alongside Prompt Enhancement SpecBench, a public dataset of 400 creative prompts drawn from 18 datasets across text-to-video, image-to-video, text-to-image and image-to-image tasks.
What changed: Fal, Fireworks, and NVIDIA collaborators present EAGLE-4 analysis and a public creative-task benchmark dataset, extending prior speculative-decoding explainers.
