Anthropic says Defense Access is for defensive work, Red Team Access adds authorized penetration testing, and Specialized Access is reserved for a limited set of verified organizations testing sensitive systems. In Anthropic’s CyScenarioBench evaluation of Claude Opus 5.5, all 50 trials were blocked without CVP access; 46 of 50 were blocked in Defense Access; and Red Team Access had no blocks, with the model completing 34 of 50 tasks. The company says applications are verified against the relevant tier’s requirements.
