Anthropic says Defense Access is for defensive work, Red Team Access adds authorized penetration testing, and Specialized Access is reserved for a limited set of verified organizations testing sensitive systems. In Anthropic’s CyScenarioBench evaluation of Claude Opus 5.5, all 50 trials were blocked without CVP access; 46 of 50 were blocked in Defense Access; and Red Team Access had no blocks, with the model completing 34 of 50 tasks. The company says applications are verified against the relevant tier’s requirements. CVP is available on the Claude Platform, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Foundry; Amazon Bedrock access is limited to customers eligible for Enterprise Frontier Safeguards. https://www.anthropic.com/news/cyber-verification-program
