The available connections include Google Workspace services such as Calendar, and Google Search services such as Maps, Search, Shopping, Flights, Hotels, Translate, and News.
Google says connected data and insights derived from it can personalize Gemini and support tasks such as recommendations or a tailored itinerary. The company lists saved Search-services data, Workspace emails, files and events, location information, and other account data among the information that may be shared, depending on the connected apps and settings.
Users can manage connected apps in Personal Intelligence and can delete Gemini Apps activity separately. Disconnecting an app or deleting its source data does not delete prior Gemini Apps activity, and source-data changes may take days to affect the experience. If Keep Activity is enabled, Gemini Apps activity may be used to improve Google services, including generative AI training. Google says it does not train models directly on Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or other Workspace-app data.
The source does not establish a rollout date, country coverage, or a specific subscription price for Maps and Calendar connections.
