The company has a beta Agent Gateway that connects agents through the Model Context Protocol. Walmart says the gateway can help agents find a customer's usual items without exposing the customer's broader shopping history. It also plans to support agent shopping at Sam's Club.
The report does not establish which agents will be supported first, an exact launch date, the scope of customer availability, or how reliably the approval and spending controls will operate at scale.
