universal-modder merges game-recon step 1b with a compatibility reference for non-native hosts (Wine, Proton, CrossOver, x64 on ARM)

In one minute

The universal-modder project has added a compatibility-triage step to its `game-recon` skill.

What changed: Same event as skills: game-recon step 1b and a compatibility reference for non-native hosts (Wine, Proton, CrossOver, x64 on ARM)

The change is intended for modding reconnaissance when a game is not native to the host machine, including Windows-only games on macOS or Linux and x64 games running on ARM hardware.

The new step directs the agent to collect host OS and build, CPU architecture, GPU, driver, and graphics-API details, then compare them with the game's executable architecture and requirements. It also adds a compatibility.md reference covering Wine, Proton, CrossOver, translation layers, anti-cheat checks, per-game reports, probes, logs, and exact error-text searches.

The files were added in the project's .agents/skills/game-recon and .claude/skills/game-recon paths. The source does not establish that any particular game will run through these layers, nor does it provide benchmark results, supported-game counts, or compatibility guarantees.
