Pricing · Cloudflare Observability docs

In one minute

Cloudflare says that, beginning December 1, 2026, its logs and traces will move to a shared Observability pricing model.

What changed: Cloudflare’s pricing docs specify the December 1, 2026 model: shared ingestion and storage allowances, paid overage rates, and $1/GB Log Explorer datasets with 30-day retention.

The pooled account-level allowance covers Cloudflare Traces, Workers Logs, Workers Traces, Containers logs, R2 Data Access Logs, AI Gateway logs, and Issues.

Free accounts receive 0.5 GB of ingestion per day and seven-day retention. Paid accounts receive 50 GB of ingestion and 10 GB-month of storage per billing cycle; excess ingestion costs $0.25 per GB and excess storage costs $0.10 per GB-month. The two allowances are separately metered and do not roll over. On Free, Cloudflare stops accepting new data at the daily limit and resumes at 00:00 UTC.

Existing Workers Observability customers on Free, Pro, and Business move automatically on December 1. Enterprise customers move when their contracts renew. Data retained on December 1 begins accruing storage charges then, with no retroactive charge for earlier use.

Log Explorer datasets remain outside the shared allowance at $1 per GB ingested with 30-day retention. Queries, dashboards, alerts, and analytics have no additional charge. The documentation does not state enterprise contract prices or confirm dates for planned 30-, 90-, and 365-day retention options.
