OpenAI models now available across all three major US clouds

In one minute

OpenAI said its AI models will become available to developers through Google Cloud in the coming weeks, CNBC reported on October 21, 2026.

What changed: Same event as OpenAI models are coming to Google Cloud

Google Cloud plans to offer the models through its Model Garden catalog and its Antigravity coding tool.

The move would put OpenAI models across the three major US cloud providers: Google, Amazon and Microsoft. CNBC reports that Amazon began hosting OpenAI models in April after Microsoft’s exclusive license on OpenAI intellectual property ended. OpenAI had also said last year that it was using Google Cloud to run ChatGPT and its API.

This is a distribution and access announcement, not a model release. The report does not identify which GPT models will be listed, their prices, supported regions, service limits, availability date beyond “coming weeks,” or the commercial terms for customers using Google Cloud.
