NVIDIA Open Models Power a New Wave of European Public Sector Projects

In one minute

NVIDIA published an overview of European public-sector AI projects using its open models and infrastructure on October 21, 2026.

What changed: Adds specific European public-sector deployments, including the European Commission’s AI@EC platform expansion and Poland’s planned healthcare and employment agentic systems.

The post describes projects in Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Greece, involving government bodies, local vendors and research initiatives.

In Poland, the eHealth Centre is building an imaging platform with NVIDIA DGX BasePOD and MONAI. Poland's Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy is developing an agentic system for more than 400 labor offices, using models including PLLuM, GPT OSS and Inkling. Locai Labs released Nemotron-Personas-UK, a dataset of 1 million synthetic personas. Germany's Soofi initiative is developing Nemotron-Personas-Germany with 1 million records, each containing six synthetic personas.

The post also says secunet, NVIDIA, Red Hat and deepset are developing a sovereign cloud offering for classified-work use cases in Germany. In France, more than 2,500 eligible organizations can access a Twake.ai-based collaborative-workspace framework without conducting their own tender. NVIDIA does not establish that these systems are all in production, quantify their performance or safety, or provide independent evidence of public-service outcomes.
