Meta says Japan is the first Muse market outside North America, where the product was introduced in September. Muse is available through iOS, Android, and muse.ai.
According to Meta, Muse can plan and carry out tasks including email sending and travel booking, continue longer tasks after the app is closed, and request approval before actions such as sending email or buying products. Its connectors include Gmail, Google Calendar, Instagram, Stripe, Shopify, Trip.com, Agoda, and Klook. Meta says it is also working toward integrations with Mercari, Money Forward ME, and Ticket Pia.
Meta says Muse runs in an isolated per-user cloud environment called Muse Secure VM, while a separate Sentinel agent controls internet access. It says users can review activity, change or remove permissions, and opt out of using Muse interactions for Meta AI model training. Basic features are free and subscriptions are available. The announcement does not state subscription prices, feature limits, or which newer Muse features are available in Japan.
