Introducing 1Password for Agents (7 minute read)

In one minute

1Password announced 1Password for Agents on October 22, 2026.

What changed: Same event as 1Password announced its Agents platform in collaboration with Meta, Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceXSI, and many others.

The platform lets a personal AI agent request a login from a user’s 1Password vault. After the user approves the request, 1Password says it autofills the credential at the destination site without exposing the password or one-time code to the agent.

The company says the service is available at no additional cost to 1Password Individual and Family customers on 1Password.com. Accounts on 1Password.eu and 1Password.ca are not currently supported. Availability, platforms, and capabilities vary by partner integration.

1Password lists Muse and Grok Bot integrations as rolling out over coming days. It lists Claude Duet, ChatGPT Work, dots, and Townie among integrations coming soon, alongside further planned partners. The announcement says users can review requests, select a login, and disconnect an integration.

The source does not specify the technical protocol, provide independent security testing, or establish that every listed integration is generally available.
