Guidance for Travel Concierge using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Nova Sonic

In one minute

AWS has published an AWS Samples repository for a voice travel concierge aimed at airline customer interactions.

What changed: Same event as Build a voice travel concierge with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Managed Knowledge Base and Nova Sonic

The sample lets customers manage flights, seats, meals, and preferences through spoken conversation.

It uses Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon Nova 2.5 Sonic for bidirectional speech-to-speech, Strands Agents, an Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Base backed by Amazon S3 Vectors, and MCP via AgentCore Gateway. The deployment includes DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, an AgentCore Runtime with WebSocket support and ARM64 CodeBuild images, plus an Amplify-hosted React frontend. AWS CDK and the repository's deploy-all.sh script are used for deployment.

The README says the default US East (N. Virginia) configuration was approximately $124 per month for 3,000 voice sessions as of May 2026. Its sample cost table totals about $94.25 and identifies Nova 2.5 Sonic as the largest line item. A gateway test is expected to expose 17 tools; the repository records v1.0.0 as its initial release.

The repository does not establish production reliability, actual airline deployment, voice quality, security outcomes, or costs outside this stated configuration and usage level.
