Google's AI Professional Certificate now includes a dedicated AI for App Building course. The program describes seven courses and more than 20 hands-on activities, including a module in which learners use vibe coding to build a custom application without writing code manually.
Google says participants will use Gemini, Deep Research, NotebookLM, Workspace tools, and AI Studio. The app-building module is therefore part of a broader workplace curriculum rather than a standalone developer course, and the program is explicitly designed for people without prior AI experience.
The signal is educational, not a new AI capability. Vibe coding has moved from an experimental interface pattern into a formal mass-training product with a credential and portfolio outcome. Its quality should be judged by what learners can maintain and verify after generation, not simply whether they can produce a first working demo.
