Gemini Notebook becomes a Connected App inside the Gemini app, enabled by default outside the EEA

In one minute

Google has added Gemini Notebook as a Connected App in the Gemini app.

What changed: Gemini Notebook is newly integrated as a Connected App for chat-based notebook management; it’s on by default globally except in the EEA.

The integration sits alongside Connected Apps such as Google Workspace and Photos, and lets Gemini work with notebooks directly from a chat.

According to 9to5Google, users can create, edit, and delete notebooks; add, update, and remove sources; list notebooks and their sources; and ask questions using a notebook's context. Google says the Gemini app will automatically detect relevant prompts and call the Gemini Notebook Connected App.

The feature is available to Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts. It is enabled by default globally, except in the European Economic Area, where it is off by default.

The report does not establish a rollout schedule, language availability, source-size limits, or the precise conditions under which Gemini automatically invokes the Notebook integration.
