Factory now supports @Jira delegations.

In one minute

Factory has documented Jira Cloud delegations for its Droid coding agent.

What changed: Factory now documents setup and eligibility requirements for Jira delegations, including paid-plan, service-account, compute, and Jira permissions prerequisites.

A team can assign a Jira issue to Factory through Jira's Agents picker or mention @Factory in an issue comment. Droid then starts a remote session, uses issue context, comments, and linked issues, and posts progress and results in Jira. For code changes, the documentation says Droid is instructed to open a pull request and return its URL.

The feature requires the Factory for Jira app to be installed and the Jira site linked to a Factory organization. It is available to Factory organizations on any paid plan, including individual and organization plans. Setup also requires an active service account, Git credentials and connectors as needed, plus either a Dynamic Environment or service-account-owned persistent Droid Computers. The shared configuration sets the default model, reasoning level, instructions, plugins, identity, and compute.

Delegators need a Factory account in the connected organization, permission to use Factory on the Jira issue, and the same email in Jira and Factory. Only the person who started a delegation can send follow-up messages to that session. The source does not establish pricing beyond paid-plan eligibility, supported Jira editions beyond Jira Cloud, or the reliability and quality of completed work. It also says delegated work still requires code review.
