The company says it built the package with about 30 nonprofits and is targeting fundraising, marketing, hiring, board work, and other operational tasks.
The plugin can help an organization map where records such as donor data, grant files, finances, and policies are held. Anthropic says its other skills can use that map. Fundraising functions include researching donors and grants with cited sources, breaking an RFP into requirements, drafting proposals and reports from organization material, and preparing follow-ups with funders.
Anthropic says more than 25,000 nonprofits use Claude and that more than 75% have fewer than ten Claude seats. It also reiterates that nonprofit plans include the same models as standard Team and Enterprise plans, that the Team minimum is two people, and that Claude Code is included at no additional cost. Verified nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries can obtain standard Team seats for $3 per user per month, described as about a 90% discount.
The announcement does not specify the plugin's technical architecture, its full regional eligibility, or independently measured performance results.
