Devin Desktop 3.11.216 fixes Devin Local access, CLI install and sixel crash after 3.11.212 Agent Window rebuild

In one minute

Cognition released Devin Desktop 3.11.212 on October 23, 2026, followed by version 3.11.216 on October 24.

What changed: Devin Desktop 3.11.216 adds fixes for Devin Local access and crashes, CLI installation, and saved sign-in; the prior covered Gemini 4 Argon availability and pricing.

Version 3.11.212 rebuilt the Agent Window around the Devin web-app interface. It adds per-session Files, Changes and Terminal views, Remote SSH for cloud sessions, previews with port switching, and up to eight sessions displayed side by side.

The earlier release also changes editing defaults. Agent diff zones are off by default, so agent edits are applied directly to files. Agent edits no longer run format-on-save or code actions unless users enable “Run save actions on agent edits.” The settings remain available in Devin Settings under Editor and User Interface. Configured MCP servers can be mentioned with @, and Windows users can select WSL distributions as remote agent hosts alongside SSH hosts.

Version 3.11.216 fixes Devin Local access for organization members without Devin Cloud session permissions. It also makes the devin CLI available in a new Windows terminal immediately after installation, refreshes the CLI link on macOS and Linux, preserves saved sign-in in a stated failure condition, and fixes crashes caused by inline terminal images.

The changelog does not provide adoption figures, performance measurements, pricing changes, or evidence that the revised edit defaults improve code quality.
