The offering gives Google Cloud customers access to the full Claude Platform while using Google Cloud IAM credentials, a single Google Cloud invoice, and existing cloud commitments for Claude usage.
Anthropic says the managed offering receives Claude Platform features and betas on the same day as the native platform. Listed capabilities include Claude Managed Agents, code execution, computer use, agent skills, Files API, citations, web search, web fetch, an MCP connector, prompt caching, and batch processing. It is available through US and Global endpoints, with Anthropic operating the service and acting as data processor.
Fast Mode for Claude Opus 5.5 is also generally available in this offering. Anthropic states that it can generate output tokens up to 2.5 times faster and prices it at $8 per million input tokens and $40 per million output tokens. The source lists Fable 5.1, Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5, and Haiku 5.5 as available models.
The Google-managed Claude option remains separate for customers requiring Google Cloud as data processor, regional data residency, or integrations such as Model Armor and Agent Engine. The announcement does not establish detailed regional availability, performance under customer workloads, or which existing discounts apply.
