1Password for Agents goes live for Meta Muse, with tight account and vault limits

In one minute

1Password’s “1Password for Agents” currently supports Muse by Meta.

What changed: 1Password for Agents is now documented as supporting Meta’s Muse, with access currently limited to individual or family accounts and Muse on Android or the web; iOS support is forthcoming.

It lets a user connect a 1Password account to Muse so the agent can request a sign-in while completing a web task.

The user must approve each sign-in request in 1Password. The service fills a username, password, and one-time password directly into the website form in the agent’s browser; 1Password says the agent cannot view the sign-in page, approve requests itself, or access the user’s vaults.

Access is limited to Individual and Family accounts on 1Password.com. Team and Business accounts, plus 1Password.ca and 1Password.eu accounts, are excluded. Supported Muse clients are Android and muse.ai; iOS support is described as coming soon. The 1Password app must be version 8.12.42 or later and installed on the same device.

Only Login items in Personal or Private vaults can be used. Passkeys, shared vaults, provider-based sign-ins, and other item types are not supported. The source does not establish support for any agent other than Muse, a release date, pricing, or the availability of the pending iOS support.
