Yandex data center in Vladimir stops after drone attack
RBC reports that a drone attack in the night of October 11 damaged Yandex data-center infrastructure in Vladimir and caused the facility to stop operating completely. Yandex said there were no injuries; response teams were working at the site while the company assessed the damage and possible ways to resume operations.
The company described the remaining resource configuration as unstable and the platform as operating in emergency mode. It recommended that customers use alternative disaster-recovery plans and warned that technical-support channels could be unstable. Yandex press service told RBC that some company services were unavailable.
This is a new outage following earlier Yandex data-center incidents in Sasovo and Kaluga. The source establishes the facility-level shutdown and Yandex's warning to customers; it does not quantify the duration of the outage, the full service impact, or the recovery timeline.
