Anthropic redesigns Claude Code Projects around coordinated work
Anthropic says updated Projects in Claude Code are available in beta to select Claude Pro and Max subscribers using cloud sessions who have no existing web or desktop projects. It says access will expand to more users on those plans over the coming week; users without access can join a waitlist.
In the redesigned workflow, users specify a goal and Claude scopes the request, delegates work to parallel threads, coordinates them, reviews outputs, and assembles results. Each thread is a Claude Code cloud session with its own branch and repository copy. Overlapping code changes can still produce ordinary merge conflicts. Projects also add shared memory across threads and a library for files and artifacts. Anthropic warns that multiple full sessions can reach usage limits faster. Local execution is described as coming soon, not as available now.
The source does not say that all Pro and Max applications have been approved. It describes a staged beta rollout and a waitlist.
