Merge picks Parallel Search for Universal Context Layer

In one minute

Merge announced that its Universal Context Layer for Merge for Workforce is available and that Parallel Search is its default web-search provider.

Merge says the layer governs company knowledge, tool access, permissions, models, and controls, while Parallel supplies current public-web material as query-scoped excerpts with URLs. Parallel is also named the default search provider for Merge for Products. The vendor cites pricing from $1 per 1,000 requests and four search modes with claimed median latency from 200 ms to three seconds. The announcement does not provide independent evaluation results or customer deployment metrics.
