The company says the stack runs on one machine controlled by the operator; databases, templates, and sandbox logs reside on that machine's disk. Sandboxes are Firecracker microVMs, and the release describes Python and JavaScript SDK support, custom templates, a dashboard, and OpenTelemetry export. Installation paths include Docker Compose, Terraform for GCP or AWS, and Kubernetes on a prepared KVM node. E2B says Embed is open source under Apache-2.0 and does not require an E2B account or license key. It is a single-machine product and excludes secrets, volumes, workload identity, and a bring-your-own proxy. The announcement positions Embed for customers that require agent execution within infrastructure they control; it does not establish independent security performance or operational results.
