Gemini 3.8 TTS Playground

Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS and Flash-Lite TTS, as documented in a public playground built by Simon Willison.

The interface exposes multi-speaker conversations, per-speaker voice selection, and delivery-style instructions. Willison reports a catalog of 2,089 voices in the tool and says a 78-second Flash TTS sample took roughly 20 seconds to generate at a cost of 2.74 cents.
