Ethan Mollick released as open source on GitHub a project he built with access to the new Claude Projects. He asked Claude to go through images, videos and records of Umberto Eco's 33,000-book library and reconstruct it in 3D, including book locations. Mollick states that the AI found all the references itself.
The released code lets engineers inspect how a long, multi-source reconstruction task was assembled rather than judging it from a demo alone. The posts do not report how accurate the book placements are, how much human correction was involved, or how long the work took.
