T3 code open source remote control surface for coding agents

In one minute

T3 Code’s thesis is that a remote control surface can make coding agents running on a developer’s own computer accessible from a phone, browser, or desktop client.

The repository describes mobile apps for iOS and Android, a web app, and an Electron desktop app. It lists Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Grok Build, OpenCode, and Google Antigravity as supported providers.

The mechanism is a locally running T3 Code server connected to provider CLIs or integrations already installed and authenticated on the machine. At least one provider must be set up before use. This places the project between the agent runtime and its operator: it presents a remote interaction layer rather than claiming to replace the underlying coding agents. Why now: the repository offers install paths and release packages now, turning the control-surface idea into something developers can try rather than merely a roadmap concept.

The first implication is that agent workflows may be operated away from the workstation without moving the underlying agent setup into a hosted service. The evidence boundary is the project’s own repository: it establishes stated capabilities and supported providers, not reliability, security properties, adoption, or comparative performance. The project itself says it is very early and warns users to expect bugs. What to watch: whether documentation and releases clarify secure remote-access setup and whether the listed provider integrations remain maintained as their CLIs change.
