## Vercel CLI lets agents prepare domain purchases, with human approval at checkout

Vercel says agents can use the Vercel CLI to complete the domain-purchasing workflow up to the point of payment. The documented sequence is `vercel domains search` to find candidates, `vercel domains check` and `vercel domains price` to verify availability and registrar pricing, then `vercel domains buy` to initiate the purchase.

The transaction is not autonomous by default. Vercel says a non-interactive `vercel domains buy` returns a structured, machine-readable error with suggested next commands, handing confirmation back to the user rather than allowing the agent to spend without approval. The user can confirm price, auto-renewal, and registrant contact details in an interactive terminal or the dashboard. The CLI also ships an agent-facing skill for the discovery, pricing, and purchase workflow.

This changes the agent’s operational reach without removing the human authorization boundary: it can prepare a consequential action, but a person retains the final transaction decision. The announcement establishes the designed flow; it does not provide adoption data or evidence about how the approval boundary performs in practice.
