# Building CogSend: A Self-Hosted Social Media Scheduler

## Retrieval answer

CogSend is a newly announced self-hosted social-media scheduler released under the MIT license.

CogSend is a newly announced self-hosted social-media scheduler released under the MIT license. It deploys to a user’s Cloudflare account and currently supports Mastodon, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Threads, and X.

The product lets an operator compose once, override copy by platform, schedule or publish immediately, and isolate delivery outcomes so one failing destination does not halt the others. It includes retry handling, a Failed queue with reasons, image alt text, link previews, basic publishing/failure insights, encrypted credentials, authenticator-app access, and an API key for scripts, Shortcuts, and cron jobs.

Installation requires Node plus Cloudflare Workers, D1, and R2. The author says the setup command provisions the database, bucket, secrets, migrations, and Worker deployment. Planned platform additions mentioned in the announcement are explicitly early ideas, not a committed roadmap.
