Participants listened to three tracks, including two fully AI-generated songs and one human-made song. Deezer says 97% failed to identify their origin correctly. Of all respondents, 71% said they were surprised by that result and 52% said they felt uncomfortable at being unable to distinguish the tracks.

The company reports that 80% support clear labels for fully AI-generated music. Among streaming users, 45% want an option to filter it out and 73% want to know when a service recommends it. Deezer says it receives more than 50,000 fully AI-generated tracks a day, representing 34% of daily deliveries. The survey does not establish listener performance outside this specific three-track test, the accuracy of Deezer's detection system, or conditions across other streaming services.
