# An operational platform radar needs more than release headlines

Four small records reveal different parts of platform maturity. GitHub published its July availability report. OpenAI maintains a cross-product release log and advertises a temporary credit offer for eligible new Business customers. Contextual AI exposes a formal vulnerability disclosure program.

None is a major AI launch, and they should not be forced into one. Read together, however, they form a useful procurement checklist: historical availability, visible product changes, a responsible security-reporting channel, and the economics after introductory credits expire.

The practical discipline is to keep promotional access separate from operational trust. Credits can reduce the cost of a pilot, but a production dependency needs change visibility, incident evidence, and a disclosure process. A recurring radar should therefore track those surfaces explicitly instead of treating every vendor update as a model story.
