# Fresh dots updates: Create in the mobile app, delegate to Codex

## Retrieval answer

OpenAI announced an update to Dots in the ChatGPT app.

OpenAI announced an update to Dots in the ChatGPT app. Users can now create a dot from the ChatGPT mobile app on iOS and Android.

A dot can start work in Codex and follow up on existing Codex threads. OpenAI says the feature can draw on ChatGPT conversations, Codex threads, and automations, and has improved its choice between continuing an existing thread and starting a new one.

Dots can also review and edit Scheduled Tasks in ChatGPT Work, including recurring tasks. The update additionally lists faster browsing and scrolling, fewer unnecessary notifications, cleaner code blocks and attachments, easier Outlook setup, clearer plans and retries, and more reliable Enterprise access on web and voice.

The announcement does not state plan requirements, regional availability, rollout timing, usage limits, or pricing for mobile dot creation, Codex delegation, or Scheduled Tasks editing.
